Carlos Meyers' Senior Recital

In order to graduate, all Bachelor of Music students in the Blair School of Music are required to organize a senior recital as a capstone event to their undergraduate career. Under the tutelage of Professors Michael Slayton, Stan Link, and Michael Alec Rose, Carlos will have the profound pleasure of programming his own recital this spring, featuring an hour-long collection exclusively comprised of his own compositions. The pieces being performed on this recital display a wide range of Carlos’ creative output, spanning from works he wrote in his first semester to some that he has composed within the last couple of months.

Carlos would like to extend a heartfelt acknowledgement and thanks to all of those who have supported him and helped get to this cumulative point in his musical journey - especially his family: parents (Jim and Mirta Meyers), siblings (Nora and Paul Meyers), and relatives (truly too many to list here).

Recently, the Blair School of Music amended its COVID-19 protocols to allow for performances to be open to public audiences. This performance will take place in the Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall. All concerts, however, will still be live streamed for anyone that is not able to attend in person, and a link to that webpage can be found here. On the day of the concert, the feed will be available under “Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall.”
