Welcome
Carlos Meyers is a composer and conductor whose writing is self-described as driven by harmony, post-Romantic in conception, and largely influenced by the musical idioms of minimalism, spectralism, and process. Much of his work is centered around themes and concepts relating to memory, nostalgia, and/or logical and mathematical patterns, often expanding upon the musical vernacular of many of his most revered composers. His pieces have performed by close friends and revered contemporary music ensembles, finding life in public concerts and recordings alike.
Carlos currently holds a Dean’s Fellowship to pursue a DMA in composition as a student of Kevin Puts at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
